Thank you for registering for a recruiter table at this week’s OutWork757 LGBTQ Career Expo. Here are day-of details for you. If you have questions, please email me at eric@hear-media.com.
MOVE IN AND OUT
The Expo is being held in the North and Center Cafes of Webb University Center on the campus at Old Dominion University. The street address is 1301 W 49th St, Norfolk. Move in is Thursday, March 21 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. The Expo doors will open at 11:00 AM.
Temporary parking at Webb is allowed for unloading and loading only (see map below). If you need assistance moving into the Center, please come to our registration desk first, and volunteers will be available to assist you.
We will place sign indicators at your assigned table as well as two chairs, bottled water, and if you requested electricity, access to a nearby outlet. We will have a limited number of power cords and available ONLY for those who have requested electricity. You are responsible for providing your own table covering.
PARKING
Once you are done unloading, please move your car to one of the designated public parking spaces in the 49th Street garage or adjacent public parking lot. Keep in mind that these locations charge hourly parking fees.
SPONSOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO OUR SWAG BAG
Sponsors, if you’d like to take advantage of our offer to include your collateral or promotional piece in our swag bag, please deliver 100 of each to our registration desk at least 30 minutes before the doors open at 11. After the Expo, you may retrieve any unused pieces from registration.
LUNCH OPTIONS
We were not able to secure box lunches for this event., However, there are many food options in Webb Center. See a list here: www.odu.edu/webb/in-webb
ATTENDANCE
In the four years we’ve produced the Expo, attendance has ranged from 80 to 200. Due to the change of location and accessibility to Webb Center traffic, we anticipate this year to be on the high end of those numbers.
